does google home work in india

Understandably, some people question if google home works in India or not. With the growing regulations that the government is seeking for the major stream media, it’s important to be informed to know if your smart device is ready for the battle or not.

Google Home is a smart device designed to run in many countries. The owner can get access to cloud-based services and all the voice features that make it a great tool. The problem relies on the compatibility with the smart gadgets produced in India limiting the reach of control in your home.

India is a big country with lots of people that love smart technology. Google is expanding its capabilities to cover more markets and I wouldn’t expect it to be in India that way for a long time

In the following article, I’ll break down all the corks and features of having a Google Home in India.

How useful is the Google Home Mini?

Google Home over the years has climbed to the top 3 best smart speakers in the market in India and all over the world.

And it’s because, in plain English, it has the best smart voice assistant out there.

Google Assistant has the most intuitive, interactive, and useful virtual assistant that money can buy right now.

I loved it so much because it learns your voice patterns and detects which one is talking!

After asking you numerous time “Ok Google” it learns how you say it to wake him up faster and easier.

Another cool feature that I love about Google Home Mini and in general all Google with the Voice assistant integrated

Is that you don’t have to learn all the voice commands for you to interact with it.

Artificial intelligence on this virtual assistant is another thing. You can ask him the same thing in different ways, and Google will answer you directly and concisely.

Unlike the competition, you may need to remember certain voice commands to use it, with Google Home it’s another thing.

One particularly useful tip that Google Home mini has is that it can work pretty well for the blind in case you didn’t know.

If you know somebody with that condition, Google Home can be an excellent gift and they will be for sure happy for it!

Now, as Google Home mini is so interactive and it can be an extremely cool tool for your smart home

At one point, I was thinking if I could control it remotely using my laptop.

It would be fun to open my roller shades from my living room using a voice command, but I couldn’t do it because my Google home was in the master bedroom!

That’s why I decided to connect to my Windows Laptop.

Now, I can work outside my bedroom and still control it without touching my Google Home.

A Google home purchased in the U.S. will it work in India?

I get why you could ask this.

Some of us may think that the Google market is mostly focused on the U.S.

And most of the best pieces of technology that we see on YouTube and the CES Live Shows sometimes may look that it can’t reach down until India!

But, let me tell you good news!

Regardless of whether you decide to get a Google Home for your home, it will work perfectly fine

As we discussed earlier, Google is expanding everywhere and now has implemented Hindi in its languages.

But hey, don’t expect it to be as awesome as the English response. Even though works pretty well, it needs certain glitches to be addressed to work properly.

But at the time, with proper pronunciation, you can control all of its features consistently.

What I could tell you about if google home that is working in India is about the compatibility issues.

Sure, the Voice assistant will work fine and you can ask tons of things to it!

But once you start thinking about automating your whole house using Google Home as a smart home hub, the struggle will begin.

Because there are numerous smart gadgets produced in India that may or may not work with Google Home.

And it’s up to you to rely on those products to control them with your hub.

As a word of advice, before getting any local gadget for your google home make sure through reviews and the description charts that are compatible.

And make sure also that it works without glitches and problems.

I know from experience before that getting a device that isn’t adequate to your home is frustrating! Because I was expecting to automate it to find out that I made the wrong choice of getting it.

So hear me out on this one. Make sure is 100% compatible before getting it.

If you aren’t certain just try to google: “is XYZ product compatible with Google Home?

And go thoroughly on the results. You don’t want to follow and advice from some random guy on the internet (Ok, I’m that guy now), that hasn’t made sure it works.

Voltage capacity

Another very important fact about Google home is the Voltage capacity.

As you may know, in India the voltage is at 220V and in the U.S. 110V

So you may think: Ok, I screwed up by getting this device for my home country!

In this case, you are in luck, because Google Home works from 100v up to 240v.

So yeah, that is good news.
