How To Fix Peacock Not Working on AirPlay

Apple’s AirPlay is a wireless technology that allows users to stream audio and video content from Apple devices to other AirPlay-enabled devices.

In some cases, the user may experience difficulty streaming content from their iPhone or iPad to their Apple TV.

This can be caused by several reasons, the most common of which is an issue with the network.

Here’s how you can fix any issues with Peacock on Apple AirPlay:

  1. Check Your Internet Connection
  2. Ensure You’re Not Streaming from a Restricted Region
  3. Update Peacock and Your Apple Devices
  4. Ensure Your Devices are Connected to the Same Network
  5. Disable VPN Temporarily
  6. Restart Peacock
  7. Restart Apple TV
  8. Try Running Peacock on a Different Apple Device
  9. Verify Peacock Service Status
  10. Clear Peacock App Cache and Data
  11. Reinstall Peacock App

The rest of this article will list some of the most common issues with Peacock that have been reported by users. The article will also provide solutions to remedy this problem.

1. Check Your Internet Connection

If your Peacock app isn’t working on AirPlay, the first thing you should check is your internet connection.

Ensure that you’re connected to a strong and reliable network, as AirPlay requires a strong signal to work correctly.

If you’re still having trouble, try restarting your router or modem.

This will often fix any connection issues and allow AirPlay to work as intended.

2. Ensure You’re Not Streaming From a Restricted Region

While Peacock is available in many countries, there are still some regions where the service isn’t available.

If you’re trying to stream from one of these restricted regions, you won’t be able to do so.

If you’re not sure whether or not you’re in a restricted region, check the list of countries where Peacock is available.

If your country isn’t on the list, you won’t be able to use AirPlay to stream content from your device.

3. Update Peacock and Your Apple Devices

Ensure that both your Apple TV and your iPhone or iPad are running the latest version of their respective operating systems. If they’re not, update them and try again.

Additionally, you’ll need to ensure that you have the latest version of the app installed.

To do this, open the App Store and tap Updates. If there’s an update available for Peacock, download it.

4. Ensure Your Devices Are Connected to the Same Network

Sometimes devices can be connected to different networks, which can cause problems with AirPlay.

Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, and then try again.

If you’re not sure how to check or change your network settings on your TV, consult the manual or contact the manufacturer.

5. Disable VPN Temporarily

If you’re trying to use AirPlay with Peacock and it’s not working, one thing you can try is temporarily disabling any VPN service you may be using.

Some VPNs can interfere with the AirPlay protocol and prevent it from working properly.

If you have a VPN service that you use regularly, you may not want to disable it entirely.

In that case, you can try disconnecting from the VPN and then seeing if AirPlay works.

If it does, you can connect to the VPN again and continue using it after you’re done streaming.

6. Restart Peacock

If you’re having trouble getting AirPlay to work with Peacock, one of the first things you should try is restarting the app.

Sometimes this can help clear up any issues causing the problem.

To do this, simply close out of Peacock and then relaunch it. If that doesn’t work, you can also try restarting your device.

7. Restart Apple TV

Restart your Apple TV if the above solutions don’t work.

This will often resolve any minor software glitches that may be causing the problem.

To restart your Apple TV, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click on System.
  3. Restart the device.

If restarting doesn’t work, you can try deleting and reinstalling the Peacock app on your Apple TV.

8. Try Running Peacock on a Different Apple Device

If you’re having trouble getting Peacock to work with AirPlay, try running the app on a different Apple device.

Sometimes, certain devices are not compatible with AirPlay, which can cause streaming issues.

By running Peacock on a different device, you may be able to fix the problem.

If you can get Peacock working on another Apple device, then the problem is likely with the original device you were using.

If you’re still having trouble, contact Apple support for further assistance.

9. Verify Peacock Service Status

Check the Peacock service status page.

This will tell you if there are any current issues with the Peacock service that could be causing problems with AirPlay.

If the service is down, there’s not much you can do except wait until it comes back up.

You can check the service status at the following link.

If the service status page shows that everything is up and running, the next step is to verify that your devices are compatible with AirPlay.

10. Clear Peacock App Cache and Data

If you’re still having trouble with AirPlay after following the steps above, you can try clearing the Peacock app cache and data.

This will reset the app and hopefully clear up any issues.

To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Settings, then tap Apps & notifications
  2. Tap on See All Apps. Scroll down and find the Peacock app, then tap it.
  3. Tap Storage > Clear cache and Clear data. This will remove all of the app’s data from your device, so you’ll need to sign back in when you open it again.

Hopefully, this will fix the AirPlay issue, but if not, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the app.

11. Reinstall Peacock App

If you’re still having trouble, the next thing to try is uninstalling and reinstalling the Peacock app on your Apple TV.

To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your Apple TV and select “Apps.”
  2. From there, find the Peacock app and select “Uninstall.”
  3. Once it’s been uninstalled, go back to the App Store on your Apple TV and search for “Peacock” to reinstall it.
